By late 2010, state communications operators in Azerbaijan - Aztelekom Production Unit and Baku Telephone Communications will complete works on replacement of analog automated telephone exchanges (ATE) by electron, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov said today.
He said the project is expected to be implemented in Baku and regions.
As a result of the first half of this year, share of electron ATEs in Azerbaijan reached 92.1 percent.
This figure for the capital amounted to 85.65 percent, for other regions of the country - 95.3 percent.
