Azerbaijan, Austria to determine main areas of cooperation

Azerbaijan and Austria will determine key areas of cooperation, Deputy Head of International Relations of the Communications and IT Ministry Rufat Taghizadeh told Trend.

He said that the issue of cooperation will be discussed during the sixth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Austrian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economy, agriculture, industry, engineering and technology, to be held in Baku on Oct. 21.

Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov is the co-chairman of the Azerbaijani side.

The Bilateral Commission aims to encourage mutually beneficial cooperation and create the conditions for further development and strengthening of relations between the two countries.

A special theme of the forthcoming discussions will be the current state and prospects for the economies of both countries in trade and economic cooperation, construction, fuel and energy, agriculture, medicine and information technologies.

All recommendations will be recorded in the protocol. It will be signed by Minister of Communications and Information Technologies from the Azerbaijani side.
