RCC administration will consider introduction of intelligent networks in CIS

The Administration of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) will discuss issues of implementation of the intelligent networks in the CIS, the RCC reported.

The issue will be addressed under the eighth meeting of the working group on the development and introduction of new services at the RCC operators' council, which will be held in Moscow on Nov.1-2.

The participants will discuss the possibility of opening services IFS (International Freephone), services of a universal international access number and televote on a single access number in the territory of the RCC, as well as services to Home Country Direct Service, Premium Rate, Home Access Numbers (DAN).

The meeting is also expected to sign contracts, solve problems existing in the implementation of services InterAS VPN (Virtual Private Network International) and mull a package of documents on services "Virtual channels Ethernet" and "Skip VoIP-traffic."

The working group plans to prepare and approve a work plan for 2011-2012.

The Azerbaijani state fixed line operators have been organizing intelligent networks based on public telephone networks. The decision on granting of intellectual services has been taken in accordance with the recommendations of the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and the European Organization for CEPT (Conference of European Posts and Telegraphs). Intellectual Services are planned to be deployed on the numbering capacity, starting at "9xx".

Managing intellectual center of the network is a hardware-software system that communicates with a network connection for general use. It allows providing intelligent communication services. Intelligent communication services are used to create automated information services, Call-centers, televoting, interactive and paid telephone services, paid telephone consultations, telemarketing, etc.

A total of 2,000 manat was invested in the deployment of IP platforms, which was established in mid-2009 by production association Aztelekom. As of early May, income from services reached 100,000 manat.
