All banks to be connected to e-document management system of Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry

All Azerbaijani banks will be connected to the electronic document management system of the Ministry of Taxes by late 2011, chief state tax inspector of the commercial department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes Shoyub Mammadov told Trend.

All Azerbaijani banks will be connected to the electronic document management system of the Ministry of Taxes by late 2011, chief state tax inspector of the commercial department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes Shoyub Mammadov told Trend.

Mammadov said that today roughly 25 banks have been integrated into the electronic document management system. It is planned to cover all banks of the republic by late 2011.

"The integration of Azerbaijani two largest banks into the system's is important for us. These are Standard Bank and the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA). These banks have the most extensive branch network throughout the country. Today, all the necessary work has been completed to integrate the IBA. It will be connected to the system soon. Bank Standard will be also integrated soon", he said.

The service is provided through the Internet portal of Ministry. A bank account is opened after g the taxpayer fills in a duplicate of the certificate which is automatically sent to the banking structure. Afterwards, the taxpayer gets a notification.

One of the projects in the field of electronic services provided by the state program "Electronic Azerbaijan" is to create a single Call-center. The project provides for the integration into a single telephone inquiry system for all financial institutions of Azerbaijan.

"The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development has been recently connected to this system. In general, about eight public financial institutions will get the access to the system," Mammadov said.
