Azerbaijan, Baku, April 6 / Trend H. Veliyev /
Azerbaijan IT-company AZEL has completed the installation of WMware company's virtualization system vSphere4 for Azertelecom telecommunications company, AZEL Board Chairman Rasim Ibrahimov said on Wednesday.
Ibrahimov said that the solution vSphere4 is designed for server virtualization, dynamic load distribution, reducing power consumption, etc.
"The virtualization solution envisages the creation of some totality of resources that are shared in an automatic mode under a variety of applications. In this case there is no need for allocating separate servers for mails, databases, etc.," Ibrahimov said.
The practice of building this infrastructure consists of several Blade-servers, which are also included in common infrastructures for virtualization environments. These servers use common resources for power consumption, cooling, etc.
Ibrahimov said that server solutions are virtually combined by a unified space, which in turn is distributed as needed among the various applications during growth of business requirements.
"Today Azerbaijan observes a trend of virtualization in using common resources with the help of software and special solutions," Ibrahimov said.
