Regional communication operators gathered in Turkmenistan

Another joint meeting of the Board of Operators and the Commission of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) is underway in the national tourist zone "Avaza" in Turkmenistan, local media outlets reported on Thursday.
The meeting is being attended by the heads and specialists of the field ministries and communication enterprises of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Slovenia.
On Thursday delegates will consider the fulfillment of decisions of the World Telecommunication Development Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), cooperation projects in the field of information for the period until 2015.
The meeting's agenda includes issues of holding coordinated actions in forming a common information space in the region, approximation of legal framework, exchange of work experiences.
Reports on the activity of the Working Group on Communication Networks Management under the RCC Telecommunications Commission and the Working Group on Information Security of the Interworking Communication Networks under the RCC Telecommunication Operators Board have been already submitted.
Also proposals were voiced on regulating regional roaming tariffs and improving the activity of the RCC Operators Board.
