Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry will contribute to increasing of the Austrian investments in the sector of information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan, the ministry told Trend.
According to information, for this purpose the ministry's delegation will attend a regional summit of the World Economic Forum on Europe and Central Asia, to be held in Vienna on June 8-9.
The delegation will be headed by the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister, Co-Chair of the Azerbaijani-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission, Ali Abbasov.
Abbasov will meet with the Austrian co-chair of Intergovernmental Commission, Deputy Minister of Economy, Family and Youth Bernadette Gerlinger, and Deputy Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology, responsible for the ICT industry, Andreas Reichhardt.
During the summit, Abbasov will speak about tendencies in the ICT sector development in Azerbaijan, the projects implemented in this sphere, particularly about the project of constructing the "East-West" information superhighway.
During the summit a meeting will be organized with representatives of the Austrian IT companies that are members of the Austrian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, whose main goal is to involve them in Azerbaijan's ICT sector.
