HP Company did not refuse from the production of PC systems, but only considers the opportunity to separate out this division as a separate business structure, HP Azerbaijan Head Rufat Hajialibekov told Trend.
The Board of Directors considers this decision now, Hajialibekov said.
"We continue to manufacture new models of computers, and technical maintenance of our customers is carried out in a non-stop regime around the world. The main reason why the company took this step lies in the updated strategy of HP, which is focused on the "cloud" solutions and software. Market development trends form the corresponding demand, for which we must be ready," he said.
Earlier, HP issued a statement, which noted that "an important component of the HP updated strategy is the concentration of investment, resources and management attention with a view to create high value solutions for corporations, small and medium-sized businesses and customers from the public and government sectors."
