The AzeriCard processing center provided instructions for installation and operation of a new version of MobilBank, AzeriCard Business Development Department head Jahangir Mammadov told Trend.
An application (via the Internet on mobile phones) should be downloaded and appropriate passwords at ATMs serviced in the AzeriCard network should be received to use the MobilBank service, he said.
A list of banks that are connected to the new version MobilBank and links for downloading applications, Java MIDP 2.0 version and version of JAVA BIS (only for phones Blackberry, connected to the BlackBerry Messenger) already posted on the processing center's webpage.
The service is offered by 11 banks today. The list of banks will be gradually expanded.
Mammadov said a feature of the new version MobilBank is that it is not linked to a particular mobile operator and access to mobile payments is available for subscribers of all three mobile operators (Bakcell, Azercell and Azerfon), including operators of other countries. This happens due to data transmission technologies (GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, etc.).
Mobile banking services allow users to check their account online around the clock, draw reports on account transactions, pay bills for electricity, mobile and fixed communications, and Internet services, and to transfer money from card to card, to pay to buy an electronic ticket and to receive SMS notifications on each transaction.
