Azerbaijani mobile operators are adapting their networks to 4G standard, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov told journalists on Friday.
Abbasov said the operators are preparing the necessary infrastructure to introduce 4G, while the ministry, in turn, will make sure that they get necessary frequencies to deploy 4G.
Earlier, the ministry issued a license and provided all mobile operators of Azerbaijan with frequencies to provide 3G services.
At present, all three operators appealed to the ministry with a proposal to introduce 4G.
