Kazakhtelecom increases net profit by 46 percent

Kazakhtelecom increased net profit by 46 percent to 39.92 billion tenge ($270 million) in January to September compared to 27.3 billion tenge in the same period of 2010, according to company's consolidated report under the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

Revenues from services increased by 11 percent to 121.8 billion tenge in this period.
Gross profit increased by 0.1 percent to 36.2 billion tenge

Over the first nine months the company's assets rose by 6.6 percent to 395.1 billion and the company's capital increased by 13.3 percent to 272.6 billion tenge.

Kazakhtelecom is the national telecommunication operator and the largest telecommunication company in Kazakhstan. The company has branches in all regions of Kazakhstan. The main shareholder of Kazakhtelecom is Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk Kazyna.
