Kazakh communications company increases net income by 33 percent in 2011

Kazakh telecommunications company Kazakhtelecom increased net income by 33 percent in 2011, the company reported on Monday.
Company's net income was 50.484 billion tenge ($340 million) in 2011 compared to 33.671 ($227 million) billion tenge in 2010.
Moreover, Kazakhtelecom got 173 436 million tenge in revenues from services in 2011, compared to 147.505 billion in revenue in 2010.
Kazakhtelecom's telephone density was 24.05 people per 100 inhabitants in 2011, including 31.58 people in urban area and 15.0 in the rural area.
Kazakhtelecom is the national telecommunication operator and the largest telecommunication company in Kazakhstan. The company has branches in all regions of Kazakhstan. Kazakhtelecom's main shareholder is Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk Kazyna.
