Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept 12 /Trend H.Veliyev/

The rules on information resources of public institutions approved in Azerbaijan is an appeal to the private sector and community organisations to focus more on ensuring information security, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Valizadeh said.

He noted that the negative factors associated with hacker attacks occur frequently and the relevant authorities and the owners of resources should draw their own conclusions.

"Another matter of course is an integrated approach to the organisation of protection of information resources, ranging from organisational processes, that is, from the moment of creation of the resource and its continued support for technical and technological issues. Certain problems in this area fall on public authorities, but a lot depends on the owners of online resources," Valizadeh said.

He noted that technical options must be created and defences should be organised while creating the resource. The human factor also plays an important role. That is especially so with the ratio of staff to conditional access systems and storing passwords. All these factors will affect the level of security to information resources, the official said.
