INTRANS company (national domain az registrar) reduces the cost of third-level domains, the company head Faig Farmanov told media today.
Domain az has been operating since 1993. INTRANS company has been implementing a registration process for the last ten years.
"Annual support for the third-level domain (com.az, net.az, biz.az, etc.) will be reduced from 20 to 10 manat," Farmanov said.
The new tariffs will come into effect from Nov. 1.
He added that it will be completely free for educational institutions to use edu.az domain.
"About 6,000-7,000 Azerbaijani websites operate under the domains com, net, org," he said. "It is planned to launch a project called "Time to go home". Main purpose is to give the opportunities for the free migration of these resources to the domain az, including free registration and free annual support."
