Number of mobile e-signature owners increases in Azerbaijan

The total number of issued certificates of Asan İmza mobile e-signature increased by two percent in Azerbaijan in February 2014, amounting to 23,415 as of March 1, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes told Trend on March 1.
Some 11,174 of the total number of issued Asan İmza mobile e - signatures fell to the physical entities, 12,174 were issued to the legal entities and 67 - state servants, the ministry said.
The certification service center Asan received accreditation of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on April 9, 2013. It is authorized to issue the advanced certificates of electronic signature to the public authorities and local bodies, legal, and physical entities.
Asan certification service center established upon the Azerbaijani president's order issues the certificates for authentication and digital signature for mobile SIM- card (Asan İmza) and renders other services ensuring using the certificates and digital signatures by the state agencies , the private sector, and citizens.
Asan İmza mobile signature center platform has been integrated with a platform of Azerbaijani mobile operators, namely Azercell Telecom and Bakcell. It is necessary to change Sim- card to use the mobile digital signature.
The work on the integration with a platform of Azerfon mobile operator (NarMobile trademark) is being completed.
