The share of Nokia devices in the Azerbaijani market fell by 53.54 percent according to the results for January-July 2014, the statistical center "Global Stats" said on Saturday.
A significant 36.17 percent reduction in demand for devices of this manufacturer was recorded in July. For the first time in seven months the company moved from the second spot in popularity of mobile devices to third, giving way to the "Apple" company.
As of August 1, 2014, the share of Nokia devices in the Azerbaijani market amounted to 13.01 percent. Compared with the same period of 2013, Nokia share decline made up 65.21 percent.
On the results of the first seven months of 2014, a significant growth (61.56 percent) was recorded in Apple mobile devices share, which ranks second in mobile devices popularity in Azerbaijan and owns 22.88 percent of the market. Compared with the same period of 2013, Apple's share growth was 71.77 percent.
A 12 percent growth in seven months of 2014 was recorded in the market share of Samsung mobile devices. Samsung devices take the first place in the mobile phone market of Azerbaijan with a share of 42.96 percent. Compared with the same period of 2013, the growth in the share of Samsung devices was 46.82 percent.
Mobile devices of Sony settled in the fourth place with a share of 6.66 percent followed by 4.43 percent of unknown manufacturers devices (mainly Chinese), HTC - 3.56 percent, Huawei - 2.82 percent, Blackberry - 1.42 percent, LG - 1.09 percent and Google - 0.27 percent.
