Revenues of Azerbaijan’s mobile communications market amounted to 612.1 million manats (1.5969 AZN/USD on Oct. 18) in January-September 2016, or 7 percent less than in the same period of 2015, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The volume of information and communication services, rendered during the nine months of 2016 to the country’s population and organizations, increased by 5.5 percent and totaled a value of 1.171 billion manats as compared to the same period of 2015.
About 80.9 percent of revenues in the communications sector accounted for the non-governmental enterprises, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Meanwhile, about 72.5 percent of information and communication services accounted for the services rendered to the population, while 52.3 percent of the total volume of revenues accounted for mobile communication.
