By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

Scientists at the Azerbaijani Research and Development Center for High Technologies have developed a prototype of a semiconductor sensor capable of detecting carbon monoxide, the Center told Trend.

“We are ready to start mass production of this sensor,” said the Center. “Currently, we are working on a more advanced version of the sensor, which we plan to develop on the basis of carbon nanotubes. These devices, unlike semiconductor sensors, will be able to register the level of carbon monoxide, as well as other heavy gases.”

“We believe we will be able to obtain concrete results in this area by late 2017.”
