A project to study the deep structure of the Earth has started in Azerbaijan, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told Trend.
The work is being carried out jointly with the US and Canadian experts. Similar work was also conducted in the territory of Georgia.
Seismic tomography studies will be held in Azerbaijan to reveal the availability of minerals at a depth of 100 kilometers.
