Net loss of Uzbektelecom JSC, the monopoly telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan, calculated in line with International Financial Reporting Standards, amounted to 106.97 billion soums in 2016, said the company’s report published on the Uzbek single portal of corporate information.
The company’s net loss in 2015 was 61.48 billion soums.
The company’s gross profit from the sale of its products increased by 13.5 percent to 361.102 billion soums, its profit from operating activities decreased 1.9 times to 91.55 billion soums, and financial expenses grew 2.4 times to 275.131 billion soums.
