Money transfers via the STEFI (Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information) system from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan is currently unavailable due to unsolved technical issues, an Azerbaijani postal services source told Trend.
Currently, money can be transferred only from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan via this system, according to the source.
“The contract between the two countries’ postal operators was signed. It is hard to say when the problems will be eliminated,” the source said, adding money transfers via STEFI will be set up as soon as the Kyrgyz side solves all technical issues.
Azerbaijan’s postal operator Azerpost LLC currently transfers money using STEFI system to Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
