Azerbaijan imported 532,137 mobile phones and other mobile devices worth around $46.4 million in January-September 2017, the country’s State Statistics Committee told Trend Nov. 15.
The number of mobile phones imported by the country increased by over twofold in January-September 2017 as compared to January-September 2016.
Azerbaijan imported 256,153 mobile phones in January-September 2016. In terms of value, the figure also increased by 90.3 percent.
On average, more than 59,000 mobile devices have been imported into the country monthly since early 2017.
