The Smart City platform construction project in Baku is still at an early stage, ZTE vice-president Yang Jun told Trend.
He said that before launching the project, it is necessary to form a single database, that is, to form a digital base of all the key elements of the city.
"The main goal of the Smart City is to improve the lives of everyone,” he said. “An important aspect is to ensure information security. We are convinced that we are still at an early stage of the implementation of this project in Azerbaijan.”
Earlier, the company said that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies can act as operator of the Smart City platform.
Various state organizations will be involved in the project. It will be necessary to study the needs and interests of each organization separately and develop a common concept.
China’s ZTE company is promoting its own platform "Smart City 3.0", which is built on the basis of a single card, which allows to coordinate the activity of various state agencies using a single "cloud" infrastructure.
"Smart City 3.0" solution unites the platforms of health care, education, law enforcement, bodies responsible for eliminating emergency situations, etc.
