Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has established its two own big DATA centers, one of which is a reserve, a source familiar with the project told Trend Nov. 24.
The source said that the work on construction of the DATA centers were carried out as part of the project, titled “Introduction of the financial system of Azerbaijan Railways”.
“The project is fully completed and currently, is in the phase of three-year technical support. As part of the project, IT equipment was delivered, and two big DATA centers were built that meet modern standards,” said the source.
“The railway stations were equipped with computer equipment and connected locally to the central DATA center via VPN,” added the source.
