Azerbaijan's mobile operator Azercell LLC will discuss the possibility of canceling the state duty for re-connecting to the mobile electronic signature Asan Imza service after three years of its use, Company head Vahid Mursaliyev told reporters on Dec.7.

He said the price policy is not regulated by the operator, however Azercell can discuss this issue with relevant structures that are related o this project.

Mobile signature Asan Imza allows to use mobile phone as a secure electronic identity card. Like any other technology based on the use of SMART-cards and e-signatures, it can be used for secure access to e-services and the verification of e-documents by digital signature. Unlike other technologies, there is no need for a card reader.

The basis of the system is a special Sim-card Asan Imza, which the user receives from the mobile operator. The card stores personal access keys and an application for identification and signature.

The cost of connection of civil servants, legal entities and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity, to the service of ASAN-imza in mobile networks is 18 manats. The term of use of Asan Imza is determined within three years. The monthly subscription fee for the use of the Asan Imza service is one manat.

The use of mobile e-signature Asan Imza in Azerbaijan began in May 2013. The e-signature certificate for Asan Imza is issued by the certification center Asan of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the ASAN Service and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
