By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

The Institute of Geology and Geophysics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has suspended work on the improvement of innovative technology for the extraction of precious metals, the Institute told Trend.

The project for the extraction of precious metals using innovative technologies was prepared on the basis of scientific and technical research of the Institute.

This is a mobile installation allowing the use of safe solutions to extract metals from ores. This technology was first tested in Tulallar village of Goygol district for the extraction of precious metals, as a result of which a positive conclusion was reached on the project from a number of state structures, as the new production technology minimized the environmental pollution.

Later, the Academy of Sciences carried out work on its improvement, which envisaged the creation of opportunities for extracting from ore not only gold, but also other metals (aluminum, copper and others).

“Due to the fact that our efforts are now aimed at implementing another equally important and large-scale project, the work to improve this technology has been suspended,” said the Institute.
