Azerbaijan’s mobile network operator invested $1.467 billion to the state economy during the last 20 years, the company’s home-grown artificial intelligence system AIcell announced during a press-conference in Baku.
According to the AIcell, the company’s investments exceeded $24.6 million in 2017.
The company also transferred 179.7 million manats to the state budget, the AIcell said.
Total transfers to the state budget from 1996 to 2017 exceeded 1.637 billion manats.
Azercell currently controls 48 percent of Azerbaijan’s mobile market, with number of customers being more than 4.5 million.
