By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

The Azexport.az portal expects to significantly reduce the time of delivery of goods ordered through its electronic trading platform, Head of Azexport Zaur Gardashov told Trend April 4.

Gardashov said this is the subject of negotiations with the postal operator of Azerbaijan, Azerpost LLC.

“After businessmen transfer the ordered goods to the Azerpost, it passes the internal procedure of the postal operator for 10-15 days. Further, after the order is delivered to another country, it passes the internal procedure of the local postal operator for five to six days. In other words, we lose a lot of time due to these procedures,” he noted.

If Azerpost delivers the goods to the country of destination on the next day [of transfer], this will reduce the time of its delivery to the final destination by four times, Gardashov added.

Azexport was created to provide information on Azerbaijani goods and is a platform for their sale in foreign and domestic markets.
