In April 2018 the number of phishing incidents in Azerbaijani internet segment dropped by 18.4 percent, according to Netcraft analytical company's report, posted on the company's website.
The company stated, that in April 2018, one phishing attack was successful on every 459 website in the ".az" domain in Azerbaijan, which is 0.18 percent of the total number of Internet resources registered in the national domain.
The analysis is based on the Netcraft Toolbar program, which is a plug-in for Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers. The program notifies users of a potentially dangerous Internet resources and prevents a possible phishing attack.
Netcraft Company stated, one phishing attack productive for scammers accounted for 307 sites in Ukraine, 1539 sites - in Uzbekistan, 374 sites - in Russia, 508 sites – in Kyrgyzstan, 673 sites – in Belarus, 372 sites – in Armenia, 394 sites – in Kazakhstan, and 314 sites - in Georgia.
