By Huseyn Veliyev – Trend:

The issue of mutual recognition of electronic signature between Azerbaijan and Turkey will be resolved in the near future, a source in Azerbaiajan's IT market told Trend.

The cooperation of the parties is noted in the Memorandum, which was signed between the two countries, said the source.

The source added that currently the experts are working on the technical aspects of the issue.

"We believe that this will soon be resolved, and the citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan will be able to sign documents with an electronic signature without leaving the country. This is a project of international level, which we first implement with Turkey. In general, a similar project is planned to be implemented with border countries, and in the future with European countries," the source said.

Meanwhile, earlier reports said Azerbaijan was negotiating with the relevant structures of Iran, Qatar and Ukraine on the issue of mutual recognition of the electronic signature.

The issue of mutual recognition of the e-signature is becoming relevant and plays an important role in building trade relations between the countries.
