Export of Azerbaijani satellite operator’s services grows

The export volume of services of Azercosmos OJSC, the national satellite operator of Azerbaijan, in January-April 2018 amounted to $9.3 million, reads the "Export Review", published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan on May 31.

Export volume of services of Azercosmos OJSC in April 2018 amounted to $5.85 million, which is 69.5 percent more than in March 2018.

According to the data, Azercosmos OJSC's income from the export of the services accounted for 89 percent of the total revenue of the operator.

Azercosmos OJSC provided services to 19 countries, including France, the UAE, Germany, Georgia, China, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, South Africa, the UK, Ukraine and other countries.

Azercosmos OJSC operates geostationary satellite Azerspace-1 and low-altitude satellite Azersky. The company plans to launch the second Azerspace-2 satellite in June 2018.
