US company Proactive Risk Inc., which owns 60 percent of Azerbaijani startup Penteston’s shares, has announced the strategic partnership with the company SecurityScorecard to test the security of information systems of financial institutions in New York, Penteston’s Technical Director Rashad Aliyev told Trend Oct. 5.

He said that the startup company SecurityScorecard was able to attract investments worth $60 million.

“From now on, SecurityScorecard and Proactive Risk Inc. are strategic partners and will implement joint projects,” said Aliyev. “One of them includes cooperation with the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS), which has a number of security requirements for information systems of New York insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions. These requirements oblige them to assess cyberthreats, and this is aimed at protecting consumers (contributors).”

In the previously adopted NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulation, such important sections as 500.02 (Cybersecurity Program), 500.03 (Cybersecurity Policy), 500.05 (Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments), 500.09 (Risk Assessment) can be identified, he noted.

Penteston (penteston.com) solution makes it possible to audit security of information systems, networks, websites and prepare reports.

This is a “cloud” information security service provided by the SaaS model (Software as a service). Penteston interface makes it possible to scan the system and issue a report. The service is based on the servers of the Proactive Risk Inc., which also provides technical and marketing support.
