Ukrainian alcohol producers can use Azerbaijani system to fight counterfeits

Two Ukrainian companies producing alcoholic beverages, Khortytsa and Nemiroff, are in talks with the Azerbaijani company iQRex on using a system of protection against forging and counterfeiting, one of the company's founders Jalal Rahimov told Trend Oct. 25.
iQRex has the status of a resident of High Technology Park LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.
Rahimov noted that the protection of alcoholic products from counterfeiting is topical for these companies, and they thoroughly familiarized themselves with the principles of operation of the iQRex solution.
"Currently, we are negotiating on the commercial component of cooperation with the producers of alcoholic beverages in Ukraine," Rahimov said.
In Azerbaijan, the iQRex solution, Rahimov said, will soon be used by Baku Farma, a manufacturer of medicinal oils.
It will be possible to identify the authenticity of goods purchased in the retail networks using the the same-name iQRex software, which will soon be available in Play Market and App Store.
In addition, the manufacturer itself will use special software through which it will be able to order a unique code protected by a scratch layer. Due to the fact that the blockchain technology is used in the control system, each printed code is unique and cannot be reprinted without the permission of the manufacturer.
With such stickers, Rahimov said earlier, the manufacturer can mark its products, which will be delivered to the store shelves.
The consumer, in turn, can verify the purchased product by scanning the security code through the iQRex application.
Having assured himself of the authenticity of the purchased goods, the consumer will be able to earn bonuses from the manufacturer. If the product is counterfeit, the consumer may file a complaint, which will automatically be reflected in the manufacturer’s system. The manufacturer will also be able to receive other statistical information, for example, the data on places where the products are sold most of all, the title of product, the places where most of the counterfeits were revealed, etc.
