In January-October 2018, 673,787 mobile phones and other mobile devices operating in wireless networks, worth over $72.727 million have been imported to Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told Trend Dec. 14.
The committee noted that over the ten months of 2018, the number of mobile phones imported into the country has increased by almost 9 percent compared to January-October last year (during this period, 618,647 mobile devices were imported into the country). In value terms, this figure has also increased by 34 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, on average, over 67,000 mobile devices have been imported monthly into the country.
The monthly volume of the mobile phone market in value terms has exceeded $7.2 million.
