Blockchain technology will be applied to copyright in Azerbaijan for the first time, Orkhan Ahmadov, Local Community Manager at Waves Blockchain Platform, told Trend.
He said that a unique identifier will be assigned to the fourth book of Azerbaijani author Joshgun Karimov, titled “Onqaku”, and this will help protect the book from theft and falsification.
“That is, each book will have its own Wallet, and any buyer will be able to verify the authenticity of the book by scanning the QR code,” said Ahmadov.
In general, the blockchain platform can be applied to any product, for example, for registration of drugs, wines, agriculture products, etc., he noted.
