Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadikov and General Manager of the Japanese trading company Toyota Tsusho Corporation Tsueshi Yamada held a meeting in Tokyo on Oct. 4, Trend reports citing the press service of the Uzbek ministry.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss new investment projects with large Japanese companies and expand cooperation. The parties expressed readiness to mobilize all efforts to develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of information technology.
During the meeting, promising areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the exchange of experience in ICT sector and other important issues.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached: to continue joint projects aimed at implementing the priorities outlined by the government for the accelerated development of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan, in particular, the creation of the appropriate infrastructure for the implementation of smart, clean and safe cities and territories.
Toyota Tsusho Corporation is a trading company, a member of the Toyota Group. Its main business is supporting Toyota Motor's automobile business and other Toyota Group companies.
