Kazakhstan’s largest telecommunications company pays dividends on preferred shares

Kazakhstan’s largest telecommunications company, which has the status of a national telecommunications operator – Kazakhtelecom JSC - has announced implementation of payments on guaranteed dividend on preferred shares, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.

The payment was implemented on December 24, 2019.

According to Kazakhtelecom, the list of shareholders entitled to receiving the dividends was drawn up on Dec.2, 2019.

“Total amount of dividends payable on preferred shares is 89.6 million tenge ($237,037). The total amount of dividends paid on Dec.24, 2019 is 56.2 million tenge ($148,677),” the message read.

Established in 1994, Kazakhtelecom currently has main offices in Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as regional offices in all parts of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhtelecom owns the National Information Superhighway, which is a transport fiber-optic ring that connects large cities of Kazakhstan with digital streams with high data transmission speed.
