Azerbaijan increases export of satellite services

Revenues of Azerbaijani Azercosmos OJSC satellite operator from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $8.4 million from January through February 2020, which is 76.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, stated the Export Preview of country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Trend reports.

The volume of export of satellite services provided in January 2019 amounted to $2 million.

The Azercosmos’ revenues from the export of services amounted to 90 percent of company’s total revenues.

From January through February 2020, these services were provided to 220 countries, including the US, Britain, France, the UAE, and Germany.

Azercosmos operates two communications satellites - Azerspace-1, Azerspace-2, and the low-orbit satellite Azersky.
