Villages of Turkmen Akhal region get access to solar-powered technology

Remote villages of Turkmenistan’s Akhal region now have access to solar-powered cellular communications, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.

Such mobile communication has become available in the Bokurdak village. In the near future, two more populated areas of the same region will get access to such mobile communications.

In Karakum desert of Turkmenistan, specialists of the Altyn Asyr closed joint-stock company have already put into operation a number of base stations that work on solar energy.

Turkmenistan continues to expand the communication for populated areas of remote villages. For this purpose European telecommunications equipment that allow to provide high-quality communication services, as well as high-speed internet, were purchased.

Altyn Asyr is going to install another 50 sets of receiving and transmitting equipment in rural areas, which will provide the population with high-speed internet services. Thus, it is planned to supply the countryside with 3G communication and the centers of regions with 4G communication.
