The largest share in the volume of communication and informatization services in Uzbekistan falls on telecommunication services, amounting to 78.3 percent, Trend reports citing the State Statistic Committee of Uzbekistan.
The volume of communication and informatization services for 9M2020 was recorded at the level of 9.39 billion soums ($906 million). The growth rate of this type of service reached 16.4 percent compared to the same period last year. The share in the total volume of provided market services amounted to 6 percent.
The largest share falls on telecommunication services (wire and mobile communication services, Internet networks, satellite communication services, etc.) in the volume of communication and informatization services, accounting for 78.3 percent.
Computer programming services, consulting, and other related services reached 7.5 percent, other communication services - 5 percent, information services - 4.7 percent, as well as publishing services - 4.5 percent of the total volume of communication services and informatization.
High growth rates were noted in Tashkent (+ 33.5 percent), Jizzakh (+ 14.7 percent), Syrdarya (+ 13.9 percent), Fergana (+ 12.9 percent) and Khorezm (+ 11.8 percent) regions and also in Tashkent city (+ 20.3 percent).
A slight increase in communication and information services, compared to last year, was recorded in Bukhara (3.8 percent) and Surkhandarya (8.2 percent) regions, and in the Karakalpakstan Republic (7.9 percent).
The largest volume of communication and informatization services in value terms was recorded in Tashkent city, amounting to 5.26 trillion soums ($508 million). This is due to the fact that most of the enterprises and organizations operating in this activity are registered in this region.
