Number of requests related to computer security in Azerbaijan down

The number of requests related to computer security in Azerbaijan decreased by almost 29.2 percent in October 2020 compared to September 2020 and amounted to 565, Trend reports citing the report of the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the State Agency for Special Communications and Information Security of the Special State Security Service of Azerbaijan,

According to the report, 97.5 percent of the total number of requests were considered and satisfied in October.

During the reporting month, based on the information security audit conducted by the CERT, 13 reports were prepared and sent to the appropriate structures, a monthly increase of 4.7 times.

According to CERT, two domains and seven subdomains were registered in the Azerbaijani Internet segment over the past month.

“The total number of requests related to computer security in the first 10 months of 2020 amounted to 4,296, of which 91.1 percent were considered and satisfied. During the specified period, on the basis of the information security audit, 266 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant structures,” the report said.

From January through October, 39 domains and 119 subdomains were registered in the Azerbaijani internet segment, which is usually used by organizations to create unique site names for their divisions or services.

At the end of 2019, the number of requests related to computer security in Azerbaijan increased by almost 21 percent year on year and amounted to 4,447. According to CERT data, 45 domains and 107 subdomains were registered in the Azerbaijani internet segment in 2019.
