Azerbaijan's revenues from export of satellite services up

The revenues of Azerbaijan's Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $41.3 million from January through November 2020, which is 2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the center, Azercosmos' profit from the export of the mentioned services accounted for 90 percent of the space operator's total income.

In the first 11 months of 2020, Azercosmos provided the services to 30 countries, including the UK, the US, France, Malaysia, and the UAE.

Reportedly, in November 2020, the company exported $3.5 million worth of its services to 20 countries.

Azercosmos OJSC operates two communication satellites - Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, as well as the low-orbit satellite - Azersky.

The company's revenues from the export of satellite and telecommunications services in 2019 amounted to $43.4 million, which is 70 percent more compared to 2018.
