It is planned to develop and implement a strategy of the State Tax Service in the field of digitalization and information technology in Azerbaijan, as well as single standards, Chairman of the Council for Digital Transformation, Advisor to the Head of the State Tax Service, Sarkhan Hashimov told Trend.
According to Hashimov, in order to achieve strategic goals, a system for preparing business proposals based on the collection, processing and analysis of information will be created.
He noted that the creation of the Council for Digital Transformation under the State Tax Service was due to the need to further expand the digital approaches and solutions used in tax administration, as well as to make the most efficient use of available resources.
Also, one of the main activities of the council is to optimize interaction on the exchange of information and digitalization between the structures of the State Tax Service, Hashimov said.
According to the advisor, when implementing digital projects in the service, the principles of efficiency, standardization, safety and business continuity will be laid.
The main goal of the council is to transform the existing and rather successfully functioning electronic tax administration into a digital tax administration.
To this end, digital projects in various areas of tax administration are being implemented on the initiative and under the direct control of the Ministry of Economy and the State Tax Service.
To coordinate the management of these projects and the efficient use of available resources, by order of the head of the State Tax Service, in January 2021, it was decided to create a Council for Digital Transformation.
