This week, it became known that the international IT holding IBA Group (Minsk) is implementing a contactless payment system for travel by bank cards in the electric trains of Azerbaijan and is ready to expand this activity to all public transport, Trend reports.

The Director of the technical department of the company, Vadim Smotratyev, believes that the successfully implemented projects in the portfolio of IBA Group will contribute to the fact that the relevant structures of Azerbaijan can attract the company to the implementation of other transport projects.

“The company is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan within the framework of ‘smart’ initiatives. It will certainly take such participation if it can find the application of its experience and products in joint projects of Azerbaijan and Belarus,” he added.

It became known this week that the IDC international research and consulting company is ready to organize an international forum, invite world experts and major technology vendors to it to discuss the possibility of applying the best world practices in Azerbaijan in general and in the Karabakh region in particular.

The local market of Azerbaijan, despite the popularity of ‘smart’ projects, continues to develop other sectors of this industry.

For example, Azerbaijan’s Ultra Technologies is working on building data centers, network and server infrastructure, and comprehensive security measures. In addition, the company focuses on the implementation of application performance monitoring systems (APM) among potential customers, given that many banks are now developing their business applications.

ICT solutions allow not only automate the activities of customers but also prevent possible negative consequences of business plans. In this regard, AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan with its partners plan to build a sustainable approach to eliminating errors in the activities of public and private institutions of Azerbaijan.

As part of this project, the company believes that it is first of all important to provide a business resilience plan in order to be prepared for sudden mistakes and unforeseen situations that may arise in the business and to continue working in difficult conditions.

The creation of the Center for the Commercialization and Transfer of Technologies in Azerbaijan, which, according to IDC experts, will turn Azerbaijan into a regional hub of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0).

The IDC is ready for active cooperation with Azerbaijani companies both in terms of strategic IT consulting and in organizing industry events.
