Revenues from mobile communications and information services in Azerbaijan amounted to 897.5 million manat ($527.9 million) from January through May 2021, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, the revenues of the mobile communications sector in the reporting period grew by 4.4 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
The committee also noted that 42.3 percent, or 379.4 million manat ($223.1 million), accounted for the share of the telecommunications market (mobile operators).
Of the total volume of communication and information services, 75.3 percent are services rendered to the population. At the same time, 80.2 percent of the income received in the sector fell to the share of non-state enterprises.
