Azerbaijani satellite operator publishes 5M2021 export revenues

The revenues of Azerbaijan's Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunications services amounted to $19.4 million in the first 5 months of 2021, Trend reports citing the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the center, Azercosmos' profit from the export of the mentioned services accounted for 90 percent of the space operator's total income.

Azercosmos rendered the services to 29 countries, including the UK, the US, France, Malaysia, and the UAE in the reporting period.

Azercosmos OJSC operates two communication satellites - Azerspace - 1 and Azerspace - 2, as well as the low-orbit satellite - Azersky.

The company's revenues from the export of satellite and telecommunications services in 2020 amounted to $45.1 million, which is 4 percent more compared to 2019.
