By Sadraddin Aghjayev - Trend:

Presently, 98 percent of transactions of Azerbaijani PASHA Bank's clients involved in small and medium-sized businesses are carried out via digital channels, PASHA Bank Chief Technology Officer Vusal Khalilov told Trend .

“The bank has successfully introduced an electronic document management system for internal needs,” Khalilov added. "Despite the bank receives letters and appeals from other organizations on paper, the internal circulation of such documents is carried out through an electronic system.”

“As for our clients, the volume of paper documents with which they had to deal was reduced to a minimum,” PASHA Bank Chief Technology Officer added. “Presently, 98 percent of transactions of clients of small and medium-sized businesses are carried out through digital channels."

“It is important to stress the simplified processes of opening an account and applying for a loan in PASHA Bank,” PASHA Bank Chief Technology Officer said.

“I am sure that many businessmen remember how much time was wasted in the queues of local banks when signing all the necessary papers,” Khalilov added. “All this is in the past for the clients of our bank. During some minutes, a businessman can open an account online and apply for a loan.”

“The corresponding decision is made for certain types of loans for the needs of small and medium-sized businesses within one or two days," Khalilov said.

“PASHA Bank encourages the use of new technologies, as this will bring practical benefit to the business, both directly and indirectly,” PASHA Bank Chief Technology Officer said.

“If we single out a few of the most important projects, of course, these are the introduction of microservice architecture (which many people mistakenly associate with the simple reduction in the size of the service), the use of cloud providers and DevOps processes, which envisage deep automation of the process of building, deploying and monitoring applications,” PASHA Bank Chief Technology Officer said.

“The use of the Agile methodology, which we have successfully adapted and applied to the entire product development process, should be stressed,” Khalilov said. “We share all our achievements and experience with the market and encourage the use of the latest technologies. The main thing is not to be afraid to experiment and do it for the sake of achieving business goals.”
