All online services will inevitably face massive cyberattacks with the several Tbps traffic in 2021, Founder and CEO of Qrator Labs Alexander Lyamin told Trend on Aug.18.

According to Lyamin, the intensity of such cyberattacks is expected to increase this year.

“For the second year in a row, we have seen a significant increase in cyber fraud, which should be taken into account by companies offering online services, such as delivery services, banks and online stores, to their customers,” he said, adding that the active development of the online work format of many companies also entails new risks.

Besides, the expert stressed that companies have to open a large amount of IT infrastructure to the external environment (Internet) to organize online work, which in turn creates the need to ensure maximum security.

"Without proper protection of the perimeter, it becomes much easier for attackers to paralyze the work of a company, for example, by means of attacks on a VPN concentrator - a hardware and software complex for cryptographic protection of data, voice, video traffic based on encryption, which is used to connect to a remote network," concluded Lyamin.
