The revenues of Azerbaijan's Azercosmos OJSC from the export of satellite and telecommunications services exceeded $30.8 million in the first 8 months of 2021, Trend reports citing the Export Review of the country’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
According to the review, Azercosmos' profit from the export of the mentioned services accounted for 91 percent of the space operator's total income.
Since early 2021, Azercosmos has rendered the services to 31 countries, including the UK, the US, France, Malaysia, and the UAE in the reporting period.
Azercosmos OJSC operates two communication satellites - Azerspace - 1 and Azerspace - 2, as well as the low-orbit satellite - Azersky.
The company's revenues from the export of satellite and telecommunications services in 2020 amounted to $45.1 million, which is four percent more compared to 2019.
