Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology announced the ICT efforts to promote domestic social media platforms and localization of 5G technology.
Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology Issa Zarepour made the remark in the 22nd International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Information Technology & Innovative CIT Solutions, Iran telecom innovations 2021.
The 22nd International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Information Technology & Innovative CIT Solution entitled IRAN TELECOM Innovations 2021 opened at Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.
Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology said the internet tariff reform plan has not yet been finally approved.
He noted that in recent weeks the ICT improved internet performance and speeds through repairing International Internet bandwidth.
"Iran ranked 142nd for fixed broadband speeds out of 190 countries," said Zarepour.
The Minister announced the government's plan to invest in a 5G network.
